During your complimentary BBL skin consultation at Self Beauty, we will assess your skin to identify the areas to target. Based on this evaluation, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that includes multiple pulsed light therapy sessions to achieve the best results for you.
2. Treatment Process
BBL treatments typically last around 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. During the procedure, we will apply a cooling gel and possibly a topical anesthetic to the treatment area. To ensure your safety, you’ll wear protective eyewear such as shields, goggles, or glasses. The broadband light utilizes a broad spectrum of wavelengths to target the underlying layers of your skin. The skin absorbs this light energy, which stimulates collagen production and removes pigmented (darker) skin cells.
3. Recovery & Downtime
After your BBL treatment, you may experience burning, redness, and warmth similar to a sunburn. This discomfort typically lasts for a few hours but can persist for a few days. To alleviate swelling and discomfort, apply a cold compress to the affected area for 10 to 20 minutes at a time.
