The application process for lash extensions typically takes about 90-120 minutes for a full set and 45-60 minutes for a refill. You'll comfortably lay down with your eyes closed, enjoying relaxing ambient music. During the procedure, your lower lashes will be covered, and extensions will be applied individually to your upper lashes, ensuring a precise and beautiful result.
When applied by our skilled team, eyelash extensions will last throughout the natural growth cycle of your own lashes. Depending on your lifestyle and daily routine, touch-ups are typically needed every 2 to 4 weeks to maintain their full, beautiful appearance.
We kindly ask that you avoid wetting your eyelash extensions for the first 48 hours after application. After this period, the adhesive will be fully set, allowing you to resume your regular activities. However, to maintain the longevity of your extensions, please avoid extensive exposure to steam, such as in saunas or during certain facials, as it can weaken the bond.
To maintain your lash extensions:
- Avoid getting lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours.
- Steer clear of hot steam or saunas.
- Do not perm or manually curl your eyelashes.
- Brush your lashes daily with a clean mascara wand.

What to Expect During Your Lash Extension

1. Consultation

During your consultation at Self Beauty, our team will discuss your aesthetic goals with you, and create a personalized lash extension plan tailored to your unique needs.

2. Lash Extension Process

Using precise tweezers, we will take a single eyelash extension, apply adhesive, and place carefully on one of your natural lashes one millimeter above the root. If you opt for volume lashes in a more glamorous, open-eyed look, the process will only differ slightly. Rather than applying just one extension to each lash, your lash artist will first glue a few synthetic lashes together to create a fan. From here, the same process as noted above will be used.

3. Recovery & Downtime

There is no downtime required after getting your eyelash extensions! We do kindly ask that you avoid wetting your eyelash extensions for the first 48 hours after application to make sure the adhesive will be fully set.
